Cooperstown Environmental LLC Adds to Consulting Team
Andover, MA – Cooperstown Environmental is pleased to announce that Mark Westervelt joined the company as Environmental Consultant. Mark most recently was a Vice President at Fidelity Investments, where he was responsible for leading a global software development organization and held a Series 99 FINRA license. Mark is a graduate of Bentley University with degrees in Computer Information Systems and Management. Mark brings a wealth of talent to Cooperstown and has contributed senior-level expertise across a range of managerial functions such as employee development, process management, and project work.
Outside of work, Mark has a range of interests. He is a certified United States Ski Association coach and coaches the Boston University Terrier Ski Team, which competes in the United States Collegiate Ski Association. Mark also has a commercial pilot’s license with an instrument rating, is President of the Lawrence, MA based Aeronauts Flying Club, and has flown more than 25 charity flights for Angel Flight of New England. In the past, Mark served multiple terms on his town’s Finance Committee and coached soccer and volleyball. He enjoys hiking, backpacking, surfing, bodyboarding, fishing, hunting and brewing beer.
Eric Gulbicki joined Cooperstown Environmental full time this past summer as an Environmental Technician after three years as an intern while he was pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and Policy at Plymouth (N.H.) State University. He was the 2016 recipient of the Licensed Site Professional Association (LSP) Scholarship, which supports continued education in the environmental field in Massachusetts and the New England Region.
Eric has extensive field experience including conducting sampling of various environmental media, overseeing the installation of soil borings and monitoring wells, removing underground storage tanks, installing sub-slab depressurization systems and groundwater treatment systems, and various NPDES dewatering systems. In the office, Eric compiles sampling data and writes field work summaries that are incorporated into reports that are prepared on behalf of clients for submittal to the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (DEP).
During his time outside the office, Eric enjoys hiking, fishing, and skiing. Eric is an accomplished hiker, having summited all forty-eight 4,000 footers in New Hampshire. He is now working towards completing all 4,000 footers throughout New England.
Shamae Burrell also joined Cooperstown Environmental LLC as Office and Marketing Administrator to assist with various duties related to the firm’s MCP, sub slab depressurization system (SSDS) and vapor intrusion services, Brownfields Tax credits, and marketing. She graduated from Cornell University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Earth and Atmospheric Sciences. She has extensive experience with communications, marketing, and social media campaigns through various internships in the Greater Boston area.
