Lauren Brown
Sr. Project Engineer
Lauren, a Massachusetts native, traveled the world only to end up in her home state working in her chosen field of environmental engineering.
As a student at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Lauren earned a BS in Environmental Engineering and graduated cum laude. While at RPI, Lauren excelled as a member of the cross-country and track and field teams including Liberty League All-Academic honors and many top finishes.
After RPI, she joined Schlumberger as a Field Engineer in oil drilling operations around the world – Turkmenistan, Texas, Alberta, Siberia, Pennsylvania, and other locations, allowing her to experience a variety of cultures and work styles. While with Schlumberger, her duties included work in the Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental areas including a stint as Radiation Safety Officer. When considering her prior work experience, which included stints in Ecuador, Colombia, Arizona, and Boston, Lauren has a very high ratio of travel to life.
Lauren contributes to the success and expansion of all three divisions of Cooperstown: LSP Services, Brownfield Tax Credits and sub-slab depressurization (SSD) systems, with a special focus on ASTM Phase I Reports, where she is Practice Leader and an Environmental Professional (EP). Lauren is a member of the LSP Emerging Professionals Association and PFAS Task Force Committee. In her free time, Lauren enjoys playing with her kids and anything that takes her outside.
