Ken Spear
Ken brings to Cooperstown more than twenty years’ hands-on experience in the construction and radon mitigation fields. He has achieved certification as a residential radon mitigation specialist, has obtained OSHA training and certificates in construction safety and HAZWOPER, and was formerly certified in HVAC and Refrigeration.
A Worcester, Massachusetts native, Ken worked in the construction industry as a carpenter for more than ten years before transitioning to the radon mitigation field. Working for two prior employers, he has installed hundreds of radon mitigation systems in residential, commercial, and industrial locations.
At Cooperstown Environmental, Ken lends his expertise to installing and troubleshooting sub slab depressurization system (SSDS) as well as contributing to field sampling programs and remedial system installations, operation, maintenance, and monitoring.
Outside of work, he can often be found with a fishing pole in his hand, slow-cooking beef or pork with his smoker, or caring for his family.
